Sonar Search & Recovery is a small business on the New Hampshire seacoast providing side-scan-sonar services. Owner Hans Hug, Jr. is a diver and sonar operator.
We use side-scan-sonar to locate a wide variety of objects on the bottom of lakes, ponds, rivers and the ocean. We utilize a 2013 Edgetech Model 4125-P side-scan-sonar unit with CHIRP and telemetry technology running dual simultaneous frequencies of 400 and 900 kHz in conjunction with a Humminbird Model 1197 Side-Scan / Down Imaging / Chart Plotter unit on the helm. When diving we also use as needed a J.W. Fishers Pulse 8X Metal Detector which detects both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
We have located motor boats, snowmobiles, steam boats, barges, cars, trucks, outboard motors, planes, lost moorings, cables, pipelines and more. SonarSAR will travel throughout the New England states and provide a boat for the job as well. Travel outside of New England possible depending on the scope of the work. The Company is insured.
If the nature of your search / scanning requirement is beyond our capabilities we will gladly refer you to someone who can do what you need done.
Rates: Quoted individually once the specifications of the job have been provided.
Law Enforcement / SAR Personnel: We can assist with your search. Private sector searches welcome also.
